Begins Study with Hong Kong (Kang) Kim (8th degree black belt).

1975
First brown Belt in the state of Ohio to win Gold Medal (light weight category Tae Kwon Do).

1976
Earns black belt in two years (this normally takes three to four years). Competes as black belt and wins Gold Medal and State Title at Ohio State Championship/ Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Daytona.

1977
Wins Gold Medal and State Title at Ohio State Championship.

1978
Earns second degree black belt, wins Gold Medal and State Title in Dayton, Ohio.
Begins University of Cincinnati as an Elementary Education Major.

1979
Wins Ohio State Title and Gold Medal in Cincinnati. Competes in U.S. National Championship at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Daytona, Ohio and advances to Semi-Finals.

1980
Wins Gold Medal and State Title in Ohio State Championship.
Wins Gold Medal in National Championship at University of California Berkeley.
Wins Bronze Medal at Goodwill Games in Berkeley, California.
The four teams competing: Korea, China, Mexico and U.S.
Wins Silver Medal in Pan American Games in Houston, Texas.
Wins Silver Medal in North American Championship held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Three teams competing are U.S., Canada and Mexico.
Member of U.S. Olympic Team, but team is prevented from competing in Moscow Olympics due to boycott by President Jimmy Carter.

1981
Wins two Silver Medals at the National Championship in Tampa, Florida. (One in form, one in fight category).
Opens Tae Kwon Do school (Hyde Park Karate/Tae Kwon Do) with 1,000 sq. ft

1982
Wins Gold Medal and National Title on May 15th at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor qualifying him for 1982 Pan American Games.
June 25 declared Tom Marshall Day in Cincinnati, Ohio by Mayor David Mann.
Student's sister is abducted from parking lot of Eastgate Mall. She is found raped and stabbed to death.
Marshall conducts free rape prevention classes in responsed to this. Teaches over 150 University of Cincinnati students and over 300 people at an open class held in Columbia YMCA.
December-wins Gold Medal at Pan Am games in Ponce, Puerto Rico.
Member of U.S. Olympic Team.

1983
Wins Silver Medal on June 11 in National Championships in Washington, D.C..
Recipient of Amateur Athletic Unions All American Tae Kwon Do Award. Selected on basis of cumulative performance and devotion to the ideals of sportsmanship and citizenship.
Member of U.S. Olympic Team.

1984
Expands Tae Kwon Do school by moving to new, larger location on Madison Road in Oakley. Now 2,000 sq.ft.
June-wins two Gold Medals in National Championships held in Chicago, Illinois. (Wins Gold in weight category and Gold in form as MVP for entire Nationals).
July-August as member of U.S. Olympic Team in Los Angeles. (Team prevented from competing due to Koreas request to introduce Tae Kwon Do in 1988 Olympics in Korea).
Wins Silver Medal in Pan Am Games in Suriname, South America. (Father dies just prior to Pan Am games.)
Appointed as one of ten athlete representatives for U.S. Olympic Tae Kwon Do teamÕs Athletes Advisory Committee.

Leg injury while training for 1988 Olympics. Executes leap over six standing people to break brick, but mat slips and ligaments torn in knee upon landing.
Reconstructive surgery on injured Knee.

1986
January-Moves Tae Kwon Do academy to Hyde Park Square and renames it Hyde Park Athletic Club. Adds nautilus, aerobics, sauna and tanning bed. Now 10,000 sq.ft.
Assists in coaching at Ohio State Tae Kwon Do Championship.

1987
Assist in coaching U.S. Tae Kwon Do team competing in Pan Am games in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Assists in Coaching at Ohio State Tae Kwon Do Championship.

1988
Assists in coaching at Ohio State Tae Kwon DO Championship.

1990
Opens Landen Athletic Club with Tae Kwon Do, nautilus and aerobics. 4,000 sq. ft.
Featured in WKRC-TV news clip about Tae Kwon Do and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Featured in front page Eastern Hills Journal article.

1991
Opens Northern Kentucky Tae Kwon Do center.
Junior Olympic coach.
Teaches a Rape prevention program at the University of Cincinnati.

1992
Competes in Ohio State Championships, Silver medal.
Declined invitation to U.S. Team trials because of knee injury.
Opens Tae Kwon Do program in China (taught by black belts working for Proctor & Gamble).
Junior Olympic coach and official.

1993
Opens a Tae Kwon Do program at YMCA.
Featured in Cincinnati Inquirer Newspaper.

1995
Relocated to Southern California.
Begins teaching for six LA Fitness Health Clubs.

1996
Opens Marshalls Tae Kwon Do Southern California Branch.
Competes in Master Bong Soo hans National Tournament. Achieved Gold Medal in forms and free-sparring.

1997
Junior Olympic Coach and Official.
Featured on Orange County News Channel.
Featured on CNN .
Featured on front page of Orange County Register.
Featured in Daily Pilot article.
Taught "Keep our Kids Safe" program to over 400 children.

1998
Promoted to 6th degree Black belt.

2000
Starts the first 3 year old Tae Kwon Do class called," Tiger Cubs".

2003
First Tiger Cub class to go all the way to Black belt Zoe, Zane, and Zachary.

2004
Starts after school program at Newport Elementary K-5. (Huge Success!!)

2005
Adds Newport Heights to the after school program.

2006
Adds Mariners to the after school program.

2007
We have been talking to St.Joachim and hope they will join in.
